Our investment 

Introduced by an Oakley network relationship, Fund III acquired a majority stake in May 2017. Under Oakley’s ownership, TechInsights has transitioned its business model from one-off projects to a subscription-based revenue model, and today 65% of revenues are recurring.

In March 2022, Fund III sold its stake in TechInsights and as part of the transaction, Fund IV acquired a majority stake in the business, alongside management and CVC Growth Funds, in order to benefit from the strong future growth potential of the business.

TechInsights benefits from high barriers to entry due to its patented processes, proprietary equipment, specialised workforce and unique database. The business is profiting from strong demand for its information services as surging demand for powerful computer chips together with supply chain complexity encourages more companies to invest in R&D to develop and improve their own semi conductors.
