iCI was established in 2015 to address the significant and real threat that climate change poses to the global economy, society and ecosystems. The growing size and importance of private equity means the industry increasingly has an important role to play in reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. At the same time, recognising and addressing climate-related financial risks can help protect the value of investment portfolios. Collaboration is a key driver for iCI and members commit to sharing best practice, key learnings and resources to accelerate change.

Oakley Capital Founder and Managing Partner Peter Dubens commented:
“Oakley’s culture is characterised by ethical principles that guide how we strive to build successful businesses in a responsible, sustainable way. We are committed to engaging with our portfolio companies and industry peers to deliver meaningful carbon mitigation and I believe that collaborating with iCI will help us to reach this goal.”

iCI is endorsed by the UN-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investment (“PRI”), of which Oakley Capital is also a signatory.
