Valero joined Oakley in 2021 and has over 16 years of private equity investment and finance experience. Valero leads on deal origination, execution, portfolio management in the Business Services sector for the Origin fund, Oakley’s lower mid-market strategy. During his time at Oakley, he has worked on a number of investments including Horizons Optical, Alerce, vLex, Seedtag and Cegid.
Prior to joining Oakley, Valero worked at Charme Capital Partners, where he participated in a wide variety of private equity deals and established the Madrid office. Prior to this, he was at JP Morgan where he developed the European market for Highbridge, their alternative investments fund. Valero started his investing career in 2008 at 3i Group.
Valero holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, as well as an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada after being awarded a full grant to study at the University of California, Irvine (USA).
